Afghanistan vs South Africa Highlights
Afghanistan’s Performance
Afghanistan’s poor batting performance defined the one-sided nature of the game. Failing to generate any kind of momentum, Openers Rahmanullah Gurbaz (0 off 3) and Ibrahim Zadran dropped quickly. Though wickets were falling at regular intervals, Gulbadin Naib (9 off 8) and Azmatullah Omarzai (10 off 12) provided a little challenge.
Adding to the South African bowling onslaught, the middle and lower order fell totally. Karim Janat (8 off 13) played the most balls. With three wickets for only six runs in his 1.5 overs, South Africa’s left-arm wrist spinner, Tabraiz Shamsi, turned out to be the most damaging bowler. Two wickets apiece from Kagiso Rabada and Marco Jansen also help to destroy the Afghan batting line-up for only 56 runs.
South Africa’s Performance
With a merciless and clinical bowling assault, South Africa destroyed the Afghan batting order precisely. With three straight tight overs and three vital wickets claimed, Marco Jansen (3/16) was the bowlers’ selection. Taking two wickets apiece and exerting continuous pressure, Kagiso Rabada (2/14) and Anrich Nortje (2/23) offered first-rate support. With his 3/6 outstanding leg-spin, Tabraiz Shamsi limited run flow and revealed Afghan batting flaws. Keshav Maharaj (0/6) also bowled a neat over, handing out only six runs in his one over.
You can pick the South African players for your T20 World Cup betting. This can earn a big amount of cash.
South Africa’s openers, Quinton de Kock (5) and Reeza Hendricks (29*), guaranteed a facile win from a paltry target of 57 runs. Hendricks anchored the chase with a calm 29 off 25 balls while De Kock was removed early by Fazalhaq Farooqi (1/15). Joined him at the crease, Aiden Markram (23* off 21) provided a supporting role to help South Africa attain the mark in only 8.5 overs free from any further mistakes. With only Fazalhaq Farooqi able to grab a wicket, Afghanistan’s bowlers offered nothing.
With their strong performance, South Africa shows their will to claim their first T20 World Cup. Driven to raise the trophy, they will wait for their opponent in the final.
